Immediacy of reinforcement
Also called immediacy
Definition
How quickly a reinforcer follows the target behavior. Reinforcers delivered within a second or two strengthen the intended behavior most reliably.
Example from a session
Praise delivered as Leo finishes buttoning works better than praise a minute later.
