ABA glossary
Interval length
Definition
The duration of each observation interval in interval recording or time sampling. Shorter intervals generally produce more accurate estimates but demand more of the observer.
Example from a session
A supervisor shortens intervals from 60 to 10 seconds so brief hand flapping is not missed.
