Structured descriptive assessment
Definition
A descriptive assessment in which the observer arranges certain antecedent conditions in the natural setting, such as giving demands or diverting attention, while caregivers respond to behavior as they usually would.
Example from a session
A BCBA asks a teacher to present math work for 10 minutes and then ignore the student for 10 minutes, recording what she does after each episode of yelling.
