Precursor functional analysis
Definition
A functional analysis in which consequences are delivered for a reliable precursor of a dangerous behavior, so the function can be identified while the severe behavior is less likely to occur.
Example from a session
Because clenched fists and growling reliably come before head-butting, the FA delivers consequences after growling.
